Malawi

Malawi is a land of surprises. After visiting the beautiful Liwonde National Park, an unexpected great Safari Park, we headed south to Mulanje, a small village at the border with Mozambique. We certainly didn’t expect to be able to do trekking in Malawi! Instead we discovered that the village is surmounted by the huge, majestic Mulanje Massif, an astonishing group of mountain which raise from the surrounding plateau more than 2000m peaking at 3002m in its highest point, Sapitwa Peak

Malawi isn’t exaclty the first country in Africa to pop up in internet searches when it comes to Safaris, and so we’ve been surprised to discover this little beautiful park which lies at south east near the border with Mozambique

Lake Malawi is huge, really huge: al 560km lenght and 70km width it is the third biggest lake in Africa, after Lake Victoria and Lake Tanganyka. Cape Maclear, Lake Malawi is in the southern part..
